GBW Educational Services, LLC
GBW Educational Services, LLC is owned and operated by Georginia, a Denver/Centennial based School Psychologist, and Psychotherapist. I have over 15 years experience working with individuals birth through adulthood conducting educational assessments, advocating for needs, counseling/psychotherapy, and behavioral support. I sometimes travel across Colorado, but most assessments are completed in my office in Centennial.
My main mission is to understand how children and young adults learn, connecting the dots across multiple data points. This is done through a comprehensive compilation of multiple sources of data including direct assessment, direct intervention and support, review of information available, professional development, collaboration and/or advocacy.
Services offered include educational assessments, psychological, psychoeducational, or diagnostic evaluations for preschoolers, elementary, middle, and high school students, and adults through college. For certain evaluations, I can work with older adults as well, most often related to psychoeducational evaluations for accommodations.
Professional Services
A one to two hour appointment to screen for potential learning differences, most often dyslexia. This screening can determine risk factors or potential characteristics of a learning difference and indicate whether a comprehensive evaluation is warranted. Flat rate $500.
Cognitive and/or academic evaluation (non-comprehensive) often completed in one 2-hour session or two 1- to 2 hour sessions, depending on age of the student, areas of evaluation, etc. This type of evaluation is most often requested for private school applications, but that is not the only reason. The fee is flat rate based on the type of evaluation completed. Typically a flat rate between $500-$900.
I can provide support for requesting a school-based special education evaluation, IEP support, gifted and special education processes, and attend meetings as a support for you/your child. You can always reach out via email to ask questions and see if I am able to help. Fees vary depending on the additional service, most often starting at $125.
For families in public schools and charter schools who have disagreed with their school’s evaluation results, an IEE can be requested of the school. This is most often paid for by the school district if they have agreed to it. Typically a flat rate paid by the school district based on the areas being assessed. I am qualified to assess in cognitive/general intelligence, social-emotional, and academic domains, as well as social/pragmatic language.
An evaluation to consider learning differences (dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia), ADHD, Autism, twice exceptionalities, etc. Assessments often include cognitive and academic functioning as well as other areas (executive functioning, sustained attention, social-emotional, social language., etc.). This is often completed across at least two 2-hour sessions, with additional sessions as needed. The cost is a flat rate and does not increase based on how long the evaluation takes.
Individualized play-based therapuetic sessions focusing on twice exceptionalities, social-emotional development, anxiety, etc for children ages 4 through 15. Sessions are typically 50 minutes weekly, every other week, or monthly, based on needs and scheduling. $125 per session.
